Hi Pat
\nMy friend Bun JA5FNX has told me to inform you my 5840 antenna using to
\nlisten Japanese mission to Venus.
\nMy antenna is 6m dish covered by 10mm stainless mesh.The feed is W2IMU
\nhorn modified to illuminate f\/d 0.7 (means to illuminate central part of
\nmy dish).
\nAs I used EME-RX port to listen the mission and the signal was very
\nweak. The day after, I connected the preamp to the EME-TX port but the
\nmission seems not transmitting.
\nSun\/CS is 9dB, G\/CS is 2.2dB and the moon \/CS is 0.45dB.
\nI know the mesh 10mm is too coarse but three weeks before I removed the
\ncentral aluminum foil.
\nAny question is welcome.
